GYNECOLOGICAL OSTEOPATHY: HOW CAN IT HELP ME?
Gynecological osteopathy is a specialty of classical osteopathy focused on addressing dysfunctions related to women, either in the gynecological field itself or in the hormonal field.
The most common problems we address at SOMSALUT are dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain), dyspareunia (pain during sexual intercourse), fertility problems, coccygodynia (pain in the tailbone), and hormonal imbalances, among others.
The most important thing for us is to find the cause that is generating the dysfunction to go to work on the problem at the source.
In general, osteopathy works at the level of :
- Mechanical: on muscular, skeletal, ligamentous, or organic/visceral structures; and tries to ensure its functionality. That’s why we sometimes work to improve their mobility and sometimes also their position.
- Vascular: for any structure in the body to function properly, blood must reach that structure to nourish it, and at the same time it must return to the heart. To improve this function, we have techniques that are applied directly on vascular structures, sometimes on arteries and others on structures that facilitate venous and lymphatic drainage.
- Nervous : all tissues receive innervation in order to function, and it is our responsibility to ensure that there is no problem in the nerve roots, peripheral nerves or central scale that could compromise this function.
- Hormonal: Among the many components that determine the balance of the body are hormones. These are molecules secreted by different glands that we have in the body and that interact with each other to perform their function. We have tools to improve the function of the glands and help restore this balance. This is why we ensure that there is a correct movement of each gland in particular, and a good vascularization and innervation.
TREATMENT
In a first gynecological osteopathy visit at SOMSALUT, I will specifically assess your case, trying to be as comprehensive as possible, to focus on the problem you are dealing with holistically, looking at the whole as a whole and not the body in parts.
We will perform a funnel scan , going from the global point to the specific point so as not to forget or overlook anything, and establish a treatment plan. In this we will set short, medium and long-term objectives , in order to solve all the dysfunctions we have found and to prevent the appearance of others.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me, I will be happy to answer your questions and help you.
